My July Weight Loss Progress Pic

Thank you to the response to my new blog! I’m excited to share my story with you and hear about your successes and struggles. I can’t promise a regular posting schedule (more on that later) but I will try to post at least weekly. You will notice that I have pages linked on the top menu bar with an overview of the topics that I consider key to my success – understanding macro nutrients, eating real food, moving and tracking my trend line. I’m still working on these pages so be patient. I’ve also included a page with my story, resources and a photo page where I will share my weight loss progress photos.

I wish someone would have told me in the beginning to take regular photos of myself. I missed a few months simply because I didn’t realize that I was at the beginning of an amazing journey. If you’ve read my story you’ll remember that I happened upon my new lifestyle totally by accident. My success has been a combination of reaching my lowest point, being open to change and being willing to take a chance on myself. I have told people that this has been the easiest thing I have ever done in my life. So many times I struggled with losing weight. But now? To now have all the missing links accounted for? To finally understand how my body uses the food I eat and to discover that certain foods were setting me up for failure? Now, losing weight is the easiest thing I have ever done.

Mona_07312014I’ll end this post with my July progress picture. I have loosely set goals for myself and had wanted to reach 175 in July. I weighed in yesterday morning and my trend-line weight was 174.9! My weight loss in the last month was 7.6 pounds. This picture was taken after working ten hours today so please be nice! Lol!

Until next time…

Hi there Mona. I just came across your profile through Wheat Belly on Facebook, which took me to your blog. Wow. You are an inspiration. I have a friend who is attempting Wheat Belly. Personally I am at a point where I have stopped eating wheat/gluten. I think I have lost about 600gms over the past week or so. I have subscribed to your blog. I look forward to learning more and being encouraged and inspired more. You have done amazingly. So so blessed and happy for you. Hugs Sandra in New Zealand
